At Acro Industries, Inc., we were recently contracted to fabricate, build, and qualify a series of stainless steel, sterilizers, and warmers for the medical industry. Our competency in a diverse set of manufacturing processes, as well as attention to unique customer need allowed us to deliver these products quickly and easily.
Manufacturing these stainless steel products required several of our applied processes. We laser cut and swing bent individual parts from 300 series Stainless Steel. TIG and MIG welding was used to assemble the parts according to the customer's design intent. Finally, stroke sanding was used to impart a grain sanded finish to outer surfaces.
Thanks to our state-of-the-art 2700 W Trumpf laser cutter, we were able achieve tolerances as close as ± 0.005". Other equipment we used included a 30 Ton Ras panel bender, a 220 Ton, 14' Amada brake press, and a 12' Oakley stroke sander.
Every unit fabricated was dimensionally and visually inspected before shipment. Our medical industry customer ordered these on a JIT basis, which we were able to meet without issue.
