  • Laser Cutting - Our Cincinnati 707 Laser uses a 3300 watt laser to cut through a maximum material thickness of 7/8". The flying optics allows the material to remain stationary while the cutting laser moves to provide greater precision. The work table is 120" x 60" which allows for creation of single large products or multiple smaller products in the same run.

Our largest capacity machine is our Mori Seiki Model NH8000 DCG High Precision Horizontal Machining Center. The work envelope of 55" x 47" x 53", allows us to create your largest components up to 6,000 lbs. This machine allows for 140 different tools to create even the most complex shapes, contours, and cuts. Bar feeders allow us to provide lights-out manufacturing to increase productivity and efficiency while decreasing the timeline to completion.

At Acro Industries, Inc., we were recently contracted to fabricate, build, and qualify a series of stainless steel, sterilizers, and warmers for the medical industry. Our competency in a diverse set of manufacturing processes, as well as attention to unique customer need allowed us to deliver these products quickly and easily.

Manufacturing these stainless steel products required several of our applied processes. We laser cut and swing bent individual parts from 300 series Stainless Steel. TIG and MIG welding was used to assemble the parts according to the customer's design intent. Finally, stroke sanding was used to impart a grain sanded finish to outer surfaces.

Our engineering resources were able to meet these process requirements easily while delivering to a just-in-time delivery plan.

We applied our concept development, soft and hard production tooling capabilities in order to complete this project. We were contracted by a client in the passenger rail industry to fabricate a laminated windscreen assembly for a passenger rail car.
